Les Mills Pump Phase 2 started on a HIGH note. Phase 2 started with the introduction of Les Mills Pump – Pump and Shred workout. I thought Pump and Burn was a tough workout but Pump and Shred takes the Les Mills Pump workout to the next level. I just LOVE this workout!!
This is a forty five minute workout that challenges your muscles from the moment you press play. It consists of seven tracks that includes a warm up, squats, chest, legs (glute/hamstrings) & back, legs (lunges & squats), shoulders and abs There are several of the Les Mills Pump trainers on this workout who lead a track or workout.
The tracks that feature all lower body moves like the squat track with trainer Sheldon, leg and back track with Dan and the lunge track with Susan are extremely challenging workouts that left my legs shaking and fatigued. All trainers do a great job of engaging your quads, hamstrings and glutes in this butt burning, high repetition workout. You will definitely feel the Rep Effect during this workout.
The upper body workouts include the shoulders and chest with Jericho and Joel. I find that I am unable to complete the entire track without stopping. I know that I am lacking in upper body strength and find that both of these workouts are quite challenging for me. I’ll know I’m getting stronger when I can actually complete each track without stopping.
